In 2001 Sprogs celebrated ten years of success We have been trading as Sprogs since 1991 and have been selling goods over the internet successfully, to our happy customers all over the world, for many years. 16th October 2001 Pictures and text taken from the THE EVENING TELEGRAPH. It's party time this Saturday as children's equipment and clothing shop Sprogs celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special fun day. The store owner has organised lots of activities, so that a party atmosphere is assured for all youngsters from 11a.m. to 3p.m. In attendance will be Bob the Builder and friends, a face painter, and various games, balloons and free sweets. In addition the store owner has devised a Bob the Builder drawing competition, in which children can draw anything to do with Bob, and have their entries brought into the shop. The drawings will be displayed in Sprogs and age category winners announced on Saturday 20th October 2001. Winners will be given cash vouchers to spend, on whatever they want, in the store. Sprogs is a 2,000sq.ft. superstore, which stocks a wide range of children's clothing from 0 to 12 years and teenage wear from 13 to 16 years, and toys. School uniforms, Brownies' and Cubs' uniforms, and christening wear are also available. The shop specialises in nursery equipment, and provides a selection of prams, cots, highchairs, car seats and buggies. Sprogs also has a hiring and repair service. There is a playpen for tiny ones in store, to allow mums to shop at Sprogs. Free parking is available at Bretton Centre October 2001 From a small unit to 2,000sq ft store. Sprogs started from a small unit in Mancetter Square, Werrington, Peterborough, a decade ago. After 18 months, the owner moved to a small shop in the Bretton Centre, and six years ago, Sprogs was established in the current double shop at the Cresset. Over the years, the owner has expanded her range of goods and introduced schemes to help her customers. For example, a weekly, interest-free payment plan allows people to spread the cost of purchases, which is ideal in the run-up to Christmas.
